First, something that\u2019s been in the works for THREE YEARS and counting \u2014 Refresh Your Faith\u2019s<\/a> sister book \u2014 A Word for your Day, 60 Devotions to Refresh Your Mind<\/strong><\/em>. Like Refresh Your Faith<\/a>, this devotional will take you all the way through the Bible, one book at a time, in 66 readings. Instead of an uncommon verse <\/em>from each book, this book will spotlight an uncommon word <\/em>from each book of the Bible. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

You\u2019ll read devotions exploring spectacular words like Surprise, Glory, Embrace, <\/em>and Refuge.<\/em> Each story-driven devotion will make your heart sing and refresh your mind. It will also remind you that every book of the Bible is relevant and powerful. This volume will release in early 2024, but today, I get to show you the cover of A Word for Your Day<\/strong><\/em>. Are you ready? <\/p>\n\n\n\n

With the launch of Refresh Your Hope<\/em> <\/a>in early January, I had many opportunities to share a presentation based on the book called \u201cShare the Hope \u2014 4 Unshakeable Reasons Not to Lose Heart.\u201d <\/p>\n\n\n\n

These events opened up a spot on WIS-TV\u2019s \u201cSoda City Live with my favorite news anchor, Dawndy Mercer Plank.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I spent a super-productive week in Alexandria, Virginia hanging out with my daughter and favorite grandpup, Halsey the French bulldog. Can you think of a nicer place to work on the final edits for A Word for Your Day<\/em>?<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Halsey\u2019s an excellent listener and great inspiration. Watch for his story in the next edition of All God\u2019s Creatures, Devotions for Animal Lovers. <\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

In the midst of writing and speaking, we celebrated my dad\u2019s 87th birthday. He usually wears a baseball cap, so we all donned our caps to honor him. Aren\u2019t we cute?<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In between Dad\u2019s birthday, we hosted our daughter, son-in-law, and Halsey for a few weeks, celebrated her birthday, then headed off for the funnest week of the year \u2014 beach vacay with the grandkids. Every year we snap a picture sitting on the same bench at the beach. The youngest was only a few weeks old in the first picture. Now look at him!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I\u2019ll close with something you\u2019ve probably never seen before \u2014 a dog in a dental chair. Many of you know I work my day job as a dental hygienist when I\u2019m not writing devotions. This year our office added Belle, a golden retriever puppy to our staff. As you can see, she does a great job of calming anxious patients and making the rest of us smile \ud83d\ude42 Now you know now why I love BOTH my jobs.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

As we wait for the arrival of A Word for Your Day<\/em>, I\u2019m hard at work on the next next next devotional. Can\u2019t share the details yet . . . one book at a time.
